"The President will meet with five Heads of State and around 14 world-class business leaders to deliver a message that she has constantly emphasized: Peru is a trustworthy country, where one can invest," he noted.
The ambassador stated that the word of Peruvians is absolutely trustworthy, which is why everyone can come and invest in the South American nation.
The diplomat specified that, at the meeting with CEOs of companies, whether they are currently in Peru or wish to visit the country, a central issue is security, something that concerns all stakeholders, particularly the government.
"It is true that illegal mining is what generates these high levels of insecurity and absolutely serious violence, and confronting them is an inherent issue," he pointed out.
Minister Schialer explained that
the Davos Forum, at which the President will participate, is being held this year under the motto "Collaboration for the Intelligent Age."
At this event, it will be discussed how the fragmented global landscape and the exponential development of technologies can be used for good, for the unification of the world stage, and the population's well-being.
Schialer also stated that, as Foreign Affairs Minister, he will meet with peers from Portugal, Saudi Arabia, the OECD Secretary-General, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights at the Davos Forum.
With the latter -he said- a joint assessment will be carried out on the human rights situation in Peru and how it can continue to contribute to that goal.

According to the legislative resolution granting travel authorization, the top official will attend various events, including the private strategic session "Sustainable Finance and Investment for the Amazon" and the session "Addressing Latin America's Faultlines."
