The President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, sent a greeting to Peruvians on the occasion of Christmas and call for remaining united in order to achieve a better and fairer country for the benefit of all citizens.
Through a video, where she sent a Christmas greeting, she indicated that on this special date “we extend our hands and hearts, so that unity reigns in each of our homes.”
The president stressed that the arrival of baby Jesus “The Savior” will always be a reason for joy, hope and reflection, as well as an inexhaustible source of inspiration to continue working for the well-being of Peruvians.
“This 2024 has been a year of great challenges, but together the public and private sectors and the population in general, we have managed to put the country on the path of development, marking a firm chapter in our history,” she stressed.
President Boluarte said she is sure that this unity will continue to be key in the coming year to continue driving Peru in this stage where more and more compatriots enjoy the benefits of a stronger economy that contributes to the growth of the country, generating new jobs and greater opportunities.
“As a government, we will continue to focus on working intensely for the progress of each one of you. Our wish is that love and peace be renewed in hearts and this force that characterizes Peruvian families be reaffirmed so that together we continue to forge a larger and more just country,” she said.
“Merry Christmas to everyone,” the president concluded in this greeting that she also told in Quechua, a native language of Peru.
