Peru's FA Min participates in greeting for Venezuela's Edmundo Gonzalez

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer on Wednesday participated in the greeting ceremony for Venezuelan President-elect Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia at Palacio de las Garzas, Panama City.

"Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer, along with other foreign ministers and high-ranking officials from the region, participated in the greeting ceremony for the President of Panama, Jose Raul Mulino, and the President-elect of Venezuela, Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia," the Peruvian Foreign Affairs Ministry reported via social media.

The Executive Branch authorized the ministerial trip to Panama City from January 8 to 9, 2025, to participate in the "Act of Democratic Vindication in Venezuela and the Americas."

Last Monday, Peruvian President Dina Boluarte held a fruitful videoconference with Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia, whom she recognized for his leadership, courage, and bravery in all his international actions in favor of democracy in Venezuela.
