FA Minister reaffirms Peru's firm commitment to OECD accession process

Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer reaffirmed Peru's firm commitment to the OECD accession process to its Secretary-General, Mathias Cormann.

Within the framework of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting, currently underway in Davos, the Peruvian diplomat also confirmed his participation in the 2025 Ministerial Meeting, chaired by Costa Rica, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported via social media.

"Similarly, he reaffirmed President (Dina) Boluarte's determination to complete the technical review process at the sectoral level during her administration, for which he thanked the support received from the OECD," the government agency pointed out.

In turn, OECD Secretary-General Cormann praised Peru's decision to establish a representation at the OECD in Paris, which will expedite Peru's accession process to the organization.

As is known, Minister Schialer accompanies President Boluarte at WEF meetings taking place in Davos, Switzerland.
