Peruvian diplomat Claudia Betalleluz presented to the Governor General of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Susan Dougan, the credentials accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the Caribbean country.

The Head of the Peruvian Mission, who is based in Trinidad and Tobago, conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte.

Similarly, the diplomat expressed Peru's interest in energizing and strengthening our relations with the Caribbean Community.

In this regard, Ambassador Betalleluz stated that her work in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will focus on reinforcing the ties existing between the two countries, expanding the bilateral agenda, and identifying areas of common interest that will allow for efforts toward both nations' well-being.

In turn, the Governor General stressed the importance of both countries working together to address global challenges, especially climate change, which severely affects the daily lives of the Caribbean islands' populations and increases their vulnerability to natural disasters.

Lastly, the Peruvian envoy signed the guest book at the Vicentine Government headquarters and presented a copy of "The Art of Torre Tagle. The Collection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru" as a gift.

This event took place at the Government House in Kingstown on January 24.
