The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Tuesday affirmed that the Llamkasun Peru temporary employment program will generate 56,000 jobs this year thanks to an investment worth S/161 million (US$42.57 million).

"Llamkasun Peru will finance 1,056 immediate interventions in 791 districts across Peru, supported by a budget worth S/161 million, which will generate 56,000 temporary jobs," Mrs. Boluarte indicated.

Regarding Junin, the Head of State specified that this program, in its regular intervention modality, has focused on 121 of the 124 districts that comprise this region to be assisted throughout 2024.

"It means that the entire region will be served by Llamkasun Peru," she said before a group of beneficiaries who, thanks to this program, can bring resources to provide for their households.

The top official remarked that her recent State visit to China brought as results investments and 20,000 technology-related scholarships from the Huawei company, so that Peru's youth can be trained and have better skills to apply for jobs.

"We have brought more investments to Peru, and we will continue to showcase our country to the world so that more investments come in. With those (investments), we will be able to address the needs for water, electricity, schools, universities, roads, bridges, etc.," she indicated.

Mrs. Boluarte said the world should know that Peru is a generous, peaceful, and united nation that wants to develop, grow, and become a first world country.

"Enough of being indifferent, of groups whose ideology include hatred that does not help fellow Peruvians grow and show the world that we are a great, sovereign, and democratic country. We must become an example of unity, of democrats, of hard working women and men," she stated.

After pointing out that her administration will continue working tirelessly, the president asked State ministers to expedite investment projects so that they can tell the population, when they leave office in 2026, that "we have fulfilled our duty to Peru, and we have not stolen a single Sol (public funds) from it."

Furthermore, the top official announced that she will receive Tarma Mayor Walter Jimenez in Lima next week to work on unblocking projects that ensure water services for this province.

"We need to unite as Peruvians; Peru does not need enemies, it needs its brothers and its children, that we all embrace one another in a single heart and we can build the homeland's development," she expressed.

On this occasion, the president was accompanied by Labor-Employment Promotion Minister Daniel Maurate and local authorities.
