The
on Friday asked Peruvian to remain united in a national crusade to ensure the success of the
forum's final meetings that will take place in Lima next week.
The Head of State said the aforementioned conglomerate of economies "plays a key role in the development that we all yearn for."
"That is why I call on our compatriots to unite in a national crusade for the success of this forum," she stated during her speech after signing the framework agreement for inter-institutional cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Las Bambas mining company.
Within this framework, Mrs. Boluarte remarked that "the eyes of the world will be upon us."
"It is our duty to demonstrate that we are excellent hosts, (as well as) promoters of peace, development, and investment," she expressed.
"It is essential that we understand that investment and joint work are the tools that will enable us to build a stronger and more resilient country where every Peruvian on the coast, in the highlands, and the jungle has the same opportunity to thrive," Mrs. Boluarte stated.
The president said alliances such as the one established between the Ministry of Education and Las Bambas mining company "reflect the model of sustainable and cooperative development for which we are recognized by the world."
"We believe in the value of investment that goes hand-in-hand with local development. That is why our doors are always open to private investment that is responsible towards the community and the environment," she pointed out.
In favor of education
The aforementioned framework agreement for inter-institutional cooperation will enable Las Bambas to invest S/20 million in the reconstruction and refurbishment of schools, as well as in infrastructure maintenance and educational training.
"It will benefit around 23,000 students from the provinces of Cotabambas and Grau in Apurímac (region), and the communities along the Apurímac – Cusco highway corridor," she stated.
