The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Tuesday stated that if we have a well-educated and prepared society, we can create a new country, and that is why her government is focused on providing better educational infrastructure nationwide.

"As a government, we have set two important pillars for our management, one is health and the other is education; that is why we are building hospitals and schools across Peru, because a well-educated and prepared society, with knowledge, will help us create a new country," she expressed.

Similarly, the top official explained that education and learning will allow for the creation of better people, because through knowledge we will learn values, such as respecting one another.

Likewise, the Head of State urged students to focus on their studies, so that they can become professionals and work for their families and regions in the future.

In this regard, the top official recalled that when she took office, 5,000 Becas 18 (scholarships) were awarded for professional studies, then increasing to 10,000 in 2023 and reaching 20,000 in 2024.

Mrs. Boluarte added that by the time she leaves office on July 28, 2026, she hopes the number of scholarships will increase to 50,000.

"This school was affected by El Niño phenomenon eight years ago, and we found it half-finished, but this president does not engage in political calculations like other leaders. We came in and gave impetus to the stalled projects, and we are stepping on the accelerator to complete them," Mrs. Boluarte stated.

"We will continue to consolidate the tranquility of our country. I know there is much to be done. We have been in office for 2 years and 2 months, and although at times they (opponents) want to downplay the efforts of the president, ministers, regional governors, and mayors, we have done much more than in five years of government," she concluded.
