The government official participated in the ceremony commemorating the
79th anniversary of the entry into force of the United Nations Charter.
Within this framework, the ambassador underscored the importance of the organization at a time when the largest number of violent conflicts have been taking place since World War II.
"It is crucial that Member States comply with their obligations under international law," he expressed.
"If countries were to comply with the obligations set out in the Charter, every person would be guaranteed respect for their right to a life of peace and dignity," he indicated.
Mutual contribution
Similarly, the ambassador expressed his willingness to continue working together and maximize the positive impact of the cooperation provided by this international organization.
He emphasized that Peru supports the work of the
United Nations for peace and international security, the improvement of living conditions worldwide, the defense of fundamental rights, the promotion and protection of the most vulnerable, the protection of the environment, and the elimination of hunger.
