The Maintenance Service of Peru (Seman Peru SAC) and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) signed an important international commercial agreement, which will enable the Peruvian State-run company to manufacture aeronautical parts for FA-50 aircraft, in its different certified series.

KAI selected Seman Peru SAC due to the positive experience that this entity has in manufacturing structural parts of 20 KT-1P aircraft co-produced with the Peruvian Air Force between 2014 and 2016 and because it holds the AS-9100 certification, which accredits the company as a manufacturer of aeronautical parts.

Mrs. Boluarte was present at the signing of this commercial agreement. It was held at the Peruvian Air Force Monterrico Sports Complex in Lima on Wednesday evening.

"This agreement reaffirms that Peru is a reliable country for investors. We are a sovereign and free nation that inspires confidence in foreign capital to invest in the country, helping boost the national economy," she expressed at the event.

Thanks to this agreement, KAI has committed to providing a package of information, which includes design blueprints and raw materials, to Seman Peru SAC.

"Therefore, our country will become a great supplier of aeronautical parts," she said.

One of the benefits obtained by Peru is the national aeronautical industry's development by being a supplier to one of the most important companies in the sector worldwide, which will boost the economy and generate jobs.

Likewise, this agreement will insert Peru into the aeronautical industry's global value chain, integrating us into the group of countries that produce engines, parts, and systems for FA-50 aircraft, such as the United States, Israel, and the United Kingdom, among others.

"I reaffirm our decision to foster the modernization of armed institutions, as is happening with the Navy and the Army. Soon, our sky, which is the sky of (Peruvian hero Jose Abelardo) Quiñones, will be safer thanks to air fleet renewal, because secure, steadfast, and united, we will be stronger," she underscored.
