Peru Consulate General in Phoenix strengthens ties with U.S. Border Patrol on migration

The Consulate General of Peru in Phoenix hosted a meeting with representatives of the Arizona-based Border Patrol's Missing Migrant Program to coordinate actions aimed at benefiting Peruvian citizens.

The gathering was part of the efforts undertaken by the consular office to address cases of Assistance to (Peruvian) Nationals, particularly those related to the irregular migration of compatriots through the State of Arizona.

The Consulate presented the progress in services, including the implementation of initiatives such as "Consular Saturdays" and the pilot program "Consular Migration Clinic," designed to provide support, guidance, and specialized assistance to the Peruvian community.

Deputy Consul Oscar Cajo was also officially introduced, reaffirming the team's commitment to providing comprehensive assistance to our fellow citizens.

In turn, U.S. Border Patrol representatives shared detailed information about the program and reaffirmed the ties established with the Peruvian office.

Thus, the Consulate reaffirms its commitment to working cooperatively with U.S. authorities and other relevant stakeholders, fostering the Peruvian community's well-being, as well as strengthening bilateral relations on migration and humanitarian issues.
