The Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that 10 compatriots have been evacuated from Lebanon on a Chilean Air Force humanitarian flight, a situation that occurs following the escalation of conflict in the Middle East.

In a statement, the government agency on Monday evening detailed that among those repatriated were a pregnant woman and four minors.

The ministry specified that the flight is scheduled to arrive in Santiago, Chile, today.

It added that the Consulate General in that city will facilitate repatriation to our country on a commercial flight.

"In a humanitarian and consular cooperation operation between friendly countries, involving the Foreign Affairs Ministries of Peru and Chile, as well as their diplomatic and consular missions in Lebanon, 10 Peruvians residing in that country have been evacuated on a Chilean Air Force plane," the statement reads.

In this regard, the Peruvian Government expresses its high appreciation and gratitude to the Republic of Chile for this gesture, which strengthens the brotherhood and solidarity ties between both nations.

"This action also highlights the importance of international cooperation in times of crisis and the shared commitment to support our fellow citizens abroad," the statement added.
