Peru: Andean Community appoints three new general directors

Andean Community (CAN) Secretary General, Peruvian Ambassador Gonzalo Gutierrez, presented the three new general directors of the General Secretariat (SG), during a ceremony with officials of the regional integration body.

Thus, Ecuadorian Diego Caicedo will lead the General Directorate of Trade at SGCAN.

This section is responsible for coordinating issues related to market access, agricultural sanitation, and quality, and technical trade barriers.

Colombian Alberto Lora will be in charge of the General Directorate of Productive Transformation, Physical Integration, and Services at SGCAN.

This department is responsible for the areas of transportation, electrical interconnection, telecommunications, commercial promotion, MSMEs, services, and investments.

In turn, Bolivian Franklin Molina will be responsible for the General Directorate of Social Development, Cooperation, and Intellectual Property at SGCAN.

This section coordinates matters related to migration, human mobility, social security, social participation, Andean citizenship, intellectual property, technical cooperation, statistics, and disaster prevention, among others.

The Andean Community is an integration mechanism that brings together Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.

Its General Secretariat works to improve the quality of life of over 114 million Andean citizens.
