09:07 | Lima, Oct. 1.

Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen stressed that the results of tax collection in September reflect that our economy has begun an expansion cycle.

Tax collection grew by 11.3% last September compared to 2023, the high-ranking official noted on the X platform on Monday night.

The Cabinet chief also praised the good work of the Ministry of Economy-Finance (MEF) and the National Superintendence of Tax Administration (Sunat) in obtaining positive figures.

Thanks to the September results, tax collection has grown for the fourth consecutive month.

Likewise, the Prime Minister highlighted that the Consumer Price Index in Lima Metropolitan Area decreased -0.24% (prices fell) in the ninth month of 2024, being the lowest level recorded so far in 2024.

"If we continue like this, the economy will grow more than expected. A good way to start the week," he concluded.
