took part in the meeting of the Economic Development Review Committee (EDRC) of the
, held at its headquarters in the French city of Paris.
During the
session, chaired by EDRC Chairman, Svein Gjedrem, participants discussed the draft of the Peru Economic Survey —a document that analyzes the South American country's recent developments, structural challenges, and economic policy priorities.
The Peruvian delegation shared its comments on key issues such as fiscal sustainability, productive inclusion, structural reforms, green transition, and formalization.
Likewise, it received valuable recommendations from committee members, who stressed the progress Peru has made since the last review in 2023.
Deputy Minister Lahura reaffirmed Peru's commitment to the OECD accession process, highlighting that the country is progressively implementing the organization's recommendations and strengthening the institutional capacities of the State.
It was also announced that a joint technical review session will be held on July 9, during which Peruvian authorities and the OECD Secretariat will work collaboratively on the final version of the document, incorporating comments and conclusions from member countries.
Joining the OECD will represent a historic opportunity for Peru to improve the quality of its public policies, attract greater investment, and meet international standards in governance, transparency, and sustainable development.
The
participation of the Ministry of Economy and Finance demonstrates Peru's firm commitment to strengthening its economic policies and adopting the highest international standards for the benefit of all citizens.
