At the gathering, actions were coordinated to ensure a transparent and participatory electoral process for the 2026 general elections, the Presidential Office reported via X on Thursday evening.
The JNE Chairman has led these sessions with representatives of political parties that are currently registered and have representation at Congress, aiming to strengthen dialogue on electoral matters, including key milestones for the 2026 general elections.
Next year, the electoral process will be held to elect the President of the Republic and members of Congress.
These elections will mark the return of bicameralism to the Peruvian legislative system, with the election of a total of 60 senators and 130 deputies, distributed across 27 electoral districts.
