The
Public Ministry-Attorney General's Office, through the Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Complaints Section, received the statement of
President Dina Boluarte, who is being investigated for the alleged crime of improper passive bribery to the detriment of the Peruvian State.
The hearing lasted approximately two hours.
The Head of State is being investigated for having allegedly accepted from
then-Attorney General Patricia Benavides Vargas the promise to close the preliminary investigation against her
for the alleged commission of the crimes of genocide, homicide, and serious injuries.
This, in exchange for not removing from duties then-General Commander of the Peruvian National Police, Lieutenant General Raul Alfaro Alvarado.
