For 168 years, the PCM has been responsible for coordinating multi-sectoral national policies and formulating them within its respective areas of competence.
In addition, it advances the decentralization and modernization process of Public Administration.
It also supervises the actions of public agencies, regulatory bodies, attached offices, councils, commissions, and entities whose role is to ensure protection of all Peruvians' rights and foster their development through various sectors.
Furthermore, its mission is to build a decentralized Peruvian State with a focus on territorial development and quality public services aimed at citizens, developing coordination mechanisms for better articulation of State policies at the national level, which contribute to the governability, as well as to Peru's economic, competitive, and sustainable growth.
Moreover, its vision is to be a ministry that promotes change, aiming to shape a modern, articulated, and decentralized State, generating confidence among the population and increasing competitiveness.
