During the Cocktails case oral trial hearing on Tuesday, Prosecutor Jose Domingo Perez asked the Court to impose a sentence of 30 years and 10 months in prison on Fuerza Popular (Popular Force political party) leader Keiko Fujimori, as well as on Vicente Silva Checa and Pier Figari.

"In total, the requested specific sentence for the accused Keiko Sofia Fujimori is 30 years and 10 months of imprisonment, 730-day fine, plus a 15-year and 5-month disqualification," Perez indicated.

He requested the same sentence for Ana Herz, Jaime Yoshiyama Tanaka, Jose Chlimper Ackerman, and Adriana Tarazona Martinez leaders and advisors of Fuerza Popular for the alleged offenses of (being part of a) criminal organization, aggravated money laundering, aggravated obstruction of justice, and false statement in administrative procedure.

At this hearing, the prosecutor also presented an accusation against Augusto Bedoya Camere; Keiko Fujimori's ex-husband, Mark Vito Villanella; Carmela Paucara; Rafael Herrera Mariños; Erika Yoshiyama Koga; Antonietta Gutierrez Rosati; and Ana Cecilia Matzuno.

At the next session, to be held virtually on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m., the prosecutor will complete presenting this accusation. Similarly, the State attorneys will take the floor.

Meanwhile, the Court indicated that the July 15 hearing will be held in person for the participation of defense attorneys, who must attend the session accompanied by their clients.

At the beginning of today's session, at which neither Keiko Fujimori nor the other 45 defendants participated, the Third National Collegiate Criminal Court of the National Superior Court lifted the "defendants in contempt of Court" status of Luis Barboza Davila, Juan Luna Frisancho, and Italo Pachas Quiñones, who participated in the virtual hearing.

Moreover, Prosecutor Perez asked the Court to sanction Keiko Fujimori's lawyer, Giulliana Loza, and Jaime Yoshiyama's lawyer, Humberto Abanto, for mocking gestures during the previous hearing a statement that was rejected by Loza.
