Given the constantly evolving situation in Middle East, the
advises Peruvian citizens residing in countries affected by the conflict in said area to take extreme precautionary measures.
In a statement, the government agency advised exercising caution when moving around, following the instructions of local authorities, and staying informed about developments in the security situation through official sources.
Likewise, Peruvian nationals were urged to keep their documents and those of their family members up to date.
If compatriots do not have such documents, they may complete the corresponding procedures at the nearest Peruvian mission.
The Ministry advised maintaining contact with embassies and consulates by registering on their social media platforms and WhatsApp groups, as well as staying alert to their updates.
"If your presence in the area is not essential, you should consider leaving for a safe country, taking advantage of the fact that some commercial flights are still operating and that land routes remain available and safe," the statement said.
It also underscored that embassies and consular offices in the area continue to provide guidance and assistance to Peruvian nationals in this delicate situation.
