Peru and Malaysia on Monday held the 4th Bilateral Consultation Mechanism to strengthen their political, economic, and cooperation ties, highlighting the common interest in expanding the agenda that links both countries.
During his speech,
Ambassador Quiros highlighted the
solid foundation of diplomatic relations, established in 1986.
Similarly, the diplomat underscored the meeting between President Dina Boluarte and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, within the framework of the APEC 2023 summit held in San Francisco, United States.
Peru's interest in working with Malaysia to receive cooperation on the development of Halal food products was also highlighted, in order to connect Peruvian industries to the global Islamic market.
Moreover, the
Peruvian delegation invited Malaysia to invest in the South American country, underscoring the
enormous potential of Peru as an attractive destination for the development of the logistics, industrial, technological, and services hub that will be the joint result of the
Chancay Multipurpose Port, the
Callao Port modernization, the
new Lima Airport, the
Ancon Industrial Park, and the
Special Economic Zones.
