"The inauguration of the airport is indeed a milestone. It is an extremely modern airport. Terminal 2 is expected to operate during APEC, but only for the economies that will be arriving for the meeting," Leon told TVPeru on September 28.
"All institutions involved in the opening of the airport, the Ministry of Transportation-Communications (MTC), the Ministry of Interior (Mininter), the Ministry of Foreign Trade-Tourism (Mincetur), all of us who have something to do with it are working to ensure that this opening is truly successful and that we can show the world more of what Peru has to offer," she added.
Regarding the
APEC 2024 Leaders' Summit to be held soon in Peru, the
Mincetur head assured that there is much expectation for the arrival of the presidents from the 21 economies that make up this bloc.
Additionally, the arrival of the President of China, Xi Jinping, is expected.
