U.S. rap/hip hop singer 50 Cent will perform this Saturday, August 8, at the Second Urban Dance Festival to be held at Monumental Stadium in Lima, Peru.

"This is the first time that the world's most popular rap singer will perform in Peru. Tickets sales have been doing very well and we hope to attract between 25,000 and 30,000 people this Saturday," said Kandavu Producciones representative Jair Toledo.

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson, is currently the top star of American rap and has sold over 130 million albums worldwide so he is considered one of the best rappers of all time.

He rose to fame with the release of his albums Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2002), The Massacre (2004) and Curtis (2007), all of them achieved multi-platinum success, selling over 130 million copies around the world.

Toledo noted that during the concert, the rapper will perform several of his greatest hits like "P.I.M.P", "21 Questions", "In da Club," "Candy Shop", "Just a Lil 'Bit", "Get Up" and other singles from his latest album Before I Self Destruct.

The Kandavu representative said that during the Urban Dance 2, 50 Cent will share the stage with famous artists Tego Calderón and Tito El Bambino.

On June 6, 2008, Sean Paul and Daddy Yankee performed at the First Urban Dance Festival, a unique blend of music and a type of concert that had not been experienced by Peruvian music fans before.
