Peruvian Economy-Finance Minister Alex Contreras affirmed that his sector, through the Business Support Program for MSEs (Impulso Myperu), plans to promote the issue of more than S/2 billion (about US$551 million) in credits for this group of enterprises.

"This will benefit around 140,000 micro and small-sized enterprises (MSEs) throughout the country," he said on social media.
The aim is to use these credits to finance the reactivation of these enterprises in the third and fourth quarters of the year.
Contreras explained that if a MSE enterprise resorts to the financial market, it will probably pay between 35% and 40% of the financial cost, but that rate will be reduced through this program.
"This program is intended to help MSEs access financing at lower rates than those observed in the market," he explained.
It must be borne in mind that the deadline to apply for this program is December 31 this year.
Impulso Myperu promotes financing for micro and small-sized enterprises (MSEs) to support their economic recovery process and boost their financial inclusion, thus promoting a culture of timely payment.
The government official underlined that these credits can be used for working capital, now that the Independence Day campaign is around the corner; to buy machinery or fixed assets; or to consolidate debts at a better rate.
