Transport Min arranges more cruise stops in Peru

Peru's Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) arranges more cruise stops in the country and boosts the development of tourist activities, Deputy Transport Minister Carlos Estremadoyro affirmed on Friday.

The minister told MSC Cruises executives to bring more cruise ships to ports in Matarani, Paita, San Martin, Salaverry, Ilo, and Callao.

As is known, MSC Magnifica has called at Peru for the first time, with 2,158 passengers on board who plan to visit 43 destinations in 23 countries across five continents. 

Last weekend, the MSC Magnifica guests explored Peru's foremost port in Callao and went sightseeing in the capital city Lima.

Moreover, a guided visit aboard the ship was held as part of the 50th foundation anniversary of the National Port Company (ENAPU).

The ceremony, held at the vessel, was attended by ENAPU Chairman Juan Arrisueño and National Port Authority (APN) Chairman Edgar Patiño.
