A trade mission from Taiwan —made up of 23 technology firms— will participate in the 2021 Peru-Taiwan Virtual Business Roundtable to meet business partners in different areas, the Foreign Trade Center (CCEX) of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) has reported.

This event, which is due to take place on June 2-3, is organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) —with the support of the CCL and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Peru— and will be live streamed via Blue Jeans.

"This business roundtable will bring together business people from both sides to hold virtual meetings, enhance contact between entrepreneurs from Peru and Taiwan, establish commercial cooperation in the fields of automotive, construction, electronics, sports, stationery, bags and accessories," CCEX Manager Monica Chavez stated.

Thus, it seeks to strengthen bilateral commercial activities, explore new market opportunities, and enter into business relations that meet the needs of both sides.

Additionally, in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, which has caused economic disruption, Taiwanese entrepreneurs seek to support the Peruvian economy revival, given that, according to forecasts by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Peru is going through a recovery process in which GDP growth of 8.5% is projected for 2021, contrary to the 12% decline seen in 2020.

Peruvian entrepreneurs can participate in this virtual business roundtable by making an appointment. To do so, contact the CCL at the following email address or WhatsApp number: msoto@camaralima.org.pe / +51 949211275.
