Speaking from the Government Palace in Lima on Monday night, the Head of State stressed his administration is democratic, honest, transparent, and bets on decentralization. Also, it works to lead the Inca country towards progress and development.
In order to achieve those objectives, the Peruvian leader highlighted he will lead the fight against corruption through concrete measures, as demanded by the population.
"We are here to serve the country, not to make a profit from it. Those who do not understand this should not be (working) at the State," he expressed.
Furthermore, President Vizcarra recalled the Public Integrity Secretary's Office was created by his administration.
This technical body —attached to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM)— is the governing entity for the National Policy on Integrity and Fight against Corruption.
Lastly, the statesman pointed out his administration is articulating efforts with the Comptroller General's Office to strengthen the monitoring of public resources use —at all levels of government— in a permanent way.
"This measure ensures projects are implemented in a clean, honest, and transparent manner," he concluded.
