Prosecutor raids Peruvian Soccer Federation facilities

13:49 | Lima, Dec. 6.

Prosecutor Sandra Castro is carrying out —by order of the Judicial Branch— a raid at Peruvian Soccer Federation (FPF) facilities in the National Sports Village (Videna) located in Lima's San Luis district.

The surprise visit comes as part of investigations against Edwin Oviedo for his alleged participation in a criminal organization known as the Port's White Collars.

As is known, Oviedo was arrested by police officers in San Borja district earlier on Thursday morning.

A large police contingent is guarding the outside of the soccer federation, where the prosecutor is conducting the search.

During the operation, several offices will be inspected, including those of the president, the secretary general, the marketing manager, the assistant marketing manager, the administration and finance manager, the legal department manager, and the communications manager.
