The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo visited the exhibition called 'Productive Prisons for the World' at the Justice and Human Rights Ministry headquarters in the Peruvian capital, Lima, on Friday.

The 'Productive Prisons' program is promoted by said portfolio. Its objective is to promote the craft and economic activities by inmates at various penitentiary establishments of the Judiciary.

The products showcased at the aforementioned fair rely on exports quality.

To enable the sale of these objects, the Justice Ministry and the National Penitentiary Institute have launched a website through which buyers can access the catalog of available products.

The target of this program is the business sector, whose participation in the acquisition of the items worked by inmates contributes to the well-being and development of them, their own companies, the public, and society in general.

This way, the reintegration of inmates into the labor market is promoted by developing in them aptitudes and abilities, which in turn, allow an adequate resocialization.
