The President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra on Thursday affirmed that
in the education and health sectors is a main goal in Peru.
Concerning the health sector, the top official highlighted the launch of the National Telemedicine Center —the most modern in the region, which will serve between 90,000 and 100,000 patients per month, thus meaning more than one million each year.
According to the statesman, putting technology and medical specialties at the service of the population is an objective in the country.
"(…) the country should aim to close gaps, try to ensure that Peruvians have the same access to health care possibilities," he emphasized.
According to Mr. Vizcarra, technology will make it possible to offset the lack of specialized professional personnel in the sector.
Remarks were made during the supervision of the start-up of the National Telemedicine Center.
He was also able to talk with patients treated in other regions.
