The approval of the
President of the Republic Francisco Sagasti stood at 52% in July 2021, the latest
Institute of Peruvian Studies (IEP) poll revealed on Sunday.
The survey —published in La Republica newspaper— shows that 38% of Peruvians disapprove of the top official's job performance, down 3% compared to June (41%), while 10% of those surveyed had no opinion on the matter.
In Metropolitan Lima, the Head of State's approval rating was 59%, while it was 52% in the North, 49% in the Center, 48% in the South, and 43% in the Eastern.
According to the study, the statesman's approval rating reached 21% in January and increased to 52% in July, whereas his disapproval stood at 67% in January and at 38% in July.
