Peruvian Danisa Jovich has won the "Grandma Universal 2019" beauty pageant held in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.
Jovich was crowned at this international event that rewards the grace, talent, and virtues of the most beautiful grandmothers in the universe.
The 68-year-old —who was selected among 23 candidates— was born in Peru's southern Arequipa City and is a medical technologist.
She captivated the judges with her charisma and flawless dance to the rhythms of Valicha and Huaylas.
"This crown was dreamed for Peru. Now, I am sure age is just a number and that grandmothers are important, as we hold family traditions from parents (and pass them on) to children, as well as to grandchildren, seeking family unity," she expressed.
It should be noted daughter Pierangeli Dodero Jovich —who has been declared Mrs. Peru 2019— joined her mother in Bulgaria and gets ready to compete in "Mrs. Universal 2019" this November.
