Peruvian golfer ranked third in Latin America Amateur Championship

Peruvian golfer Luis Fernando Barco holds the third place in the 2019 Latin America Amateur Championship (LAAC) ranking.

In addition, he became South America's best-positioned player.

On the other hand, Mexican Alvaro Ortiz took the first spot, followed by Luis Gagne from Costa Rica.

Peruvians Luis Fernando Barco, Julian Perico, Patricio Freundt-Thurne, Santiago Zubiate, and Smith Galvez were also able to participate in this championship since they are listed in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).

It should be noted Larco ranked third in the same tournament in 2016, while Perico secured the fourth place in 2017.

The event took place on January 17-20.
