Peru's soccer star Flores has clear objectives to achieve in D.C. United

11:26 | Washington D.C. (U.S.), Jan. 16.

Peru's international soccer player Edison Flores— in his first few hours as new Major League Soccer's D.C. United player— made his early statements and pointed out that he arrives in the U.S. capital city to earn a name and to be as happy as he was in all clubs he had played for.

Morelia's former player said that he will try to contribute with his experience to the D.C. United.

"I bring a few of my moves. I try to be 'aggressive' when there is a chance to score or assist my teammates. In the end, the team is the most important thing, and we all want it to win," Flores stressed.

According to the athlete, "we must have good communication to score goals or to assist the team. What matters the most is that the team always wins and might be the one which scores the most."

"I am happy about this new challenge that I have to face in my career. I am very grateful for the love I received during my first days in Washington. I am looking forward to starting the season with D.C. United," the Peruvian midfielder posted via Twitter.
