Peruvian Sebastian Rodriguez, known as Escombraura, beat more than 160 Pokemon Go players from other countries and now leads the world ranking after winning the Lima Battle Tower Legion PvP event.

This event is part of The World Legends Tournament Series, which was held in three cities around the world, including the capital city of Lima.

In addition to earning the champion’s trophy after an 8-0 victory in the Silph Arena event, Escombraura qualified for the Go International Championship tournament, which takes place between July and September, to secure a place in the world tournament that will crown the new Pokemon Go champion.

With this victory, the Peruvian moved up from 16th to 1st place in the global ranking.

It should be noted that, last year, Sebastian Rodriguez became the South American champion.

Pokemon Go fans were given free access to watch the international tournament organized by Sliph Arena and Pokestgo.
