The
President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Saturday affirmed that thinking about children means protecting families and fulfilling the Government's commitments, since this constitutes a commitment to fight for the most vulnerable citizens.
"To think about children is to protect families, it means fulfilling the Government's commitments; that is why we are here. Given that the public sector is joined by the private one, we are convinced that it is possible to make peoples' dreams come true," he expressed.
The top official affirmed that these types of acts in favor of children "empower us as authorities and commit us to fight for this homeland."
"In order to build a more just, sovereign, and supportive nation every day, I will not take a step backwards as I came because of you to dignify the country, to command this homeland," he emphasized.
Mr. Castillo indicated that during the tour of these health citadel facilities he could see a lot of vegetation, which "is the sense of life."
Therefore, he said it was important to allocate a real budget to these types of spaces and urged founders of this project to decentralize it, as well as "to bring it to the jungle and the center of the country."
Moreover, the President stressed that the pediatric health and childhood cancer citadel is a non-profit initiative, as well as urged that regional and local government budgets to support such projects and reach out to children.
The Head of State also reiterated that the return to schools will take place soon, indicating that this will be held in safe classrooms and environments provided with all services such as water, electricity, and internet.
"And we will make an effort so that no school in the country is left without internet," he added.
