Peru's President meets entrepreneur Carlos Slim

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Friday evening reported that he held a fruitful meeting with Mexican businessman Carlos Slim, with whom he discussed the importance of sustainable investments.

"We agreed that the Carlos Slim Foundation will support the implementation of digital connectivity programs in favor of education, health, and work," the Head of State recalled.

As is known, Peru's top official arrived this afternoon in Mexico City, where he will attend the VI Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) on Saturday.

The event was convened by the hosting nation's counterpart Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

Upon arrival, the President met Mexican government representatives such as: Secretaries Marcelo Ebrard (Foreign Affairs) and Alejandra Frausto (Culture).

Both authorities welcomed President Castillo and thanked him for his participation in the CELAC Summit.
