The
President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Sunday extended his greetings to Switzerland in commemoration of its National Day.
Additionally, the Peruvian Head of State sent a big brotherly hug to Swiss citizens on this special day.
"Our best regards and a big brotherly hug to Switzerland on its National Day to congratulate the celebration of the 730th anniversary of the Confederation," the top official wrote on Twitter.
The Swiss Confederation was founded in 1291, and the Swiss National Holiday has been celebrated since August 1, 1891.
