The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Sunday called for the broadest possible unity and for turning the page in a bid to put differences behind, on behalf of the people who demand responses to their most urgent needs.

In this regard, he called on politicians to meet the demands of the neglected population.

"I call for the broadest possible unity. Let us turn the page… I call on politicians on behalf of people who visited us at the Government Palace, reporting and demanding urgent issues," he said during his visit to Huanuco region.

The Head of State reiterated that he is a democratic man, adding that he is respectful of institutions and governability.

Additionally, Mr. Castillo pointed out that he will not fall apart in spite of the hindrances that may be in his way.

The dignitary stated that he has received calls from leaders of democratic political parties, with whom he will meet in the next few hours.

"I welcome the fact that on Saturday afternoon we received some calls from political leaders so that today, once and for all, democratic parties and politicians —who believe in the country and are aware that people's needs are behind every politician—will reach an agreement to continue to propel this sector of the country," he commented.
