travels to New York City, in the United States, to participate in 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 78).
The Peruvian Head of State boarded an official plane after 00:00 hours on Sunday to depart for the aforementioned U.S. metropolis.
As planned, the aircraft took off from Air Group No. 8 in Callao region.
The president's trip will last until Thursday, September 21, according to legislative resolution.
At the UN headquarters, Mrs. Boluarte will participate in the High-Level Week that takes place within the framework of the UN General Assembly.
Speech and meetings
The Peruvian president is expected to take the floor on Tuesday, September 19. Other South American presidents will also do the same, such as those of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Uruguay.
Within this framework, the Peruvian Head of State will hold bilateral meetings with other counterparts.
Under the slogan "Rebuilding trust and reigniting global solidarity," the UN General Assembly will become a platform to listen to proposals aimed at finding solutions to issues, such as security and sustainable development, universal health coverage, response in the face of pandemics, the fight against tuberculosis, and global cooperation improvement.
In a recent speech, Mrs. Boluarte indicated that this trip represents the country's return to the world geopolitical stage.
