"The Government of President Dina Boluarte has decided to provide a political analysis of the Amazon development and to acquire a South American perspective to face hydroclimatic threats," he added.

Also attending the meeting were Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi, ACTO Administrative Director Carlos Salinas, and Americas Director General Ambassador John Peter Camino.

The Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (ACTO) is an intergovernmental organization made up of Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela, which are signatories to the Amazon Cooperation Treaty (TCA).
