Peru's Guerrero comments on his immediate future

15:37 | Porto Alegre (Brazil), Dec. 2.

Peruvian striker Paolo Guerrero avoided commenting on rumors concerning his possible move to Argentine soccer club Boca Juniors, saying he remains focused on the upcoming matches of Brazilian club Internacional and that any decision on his future will be taken along with managers at the Porto Alegre-based club.

"I am focused on our last games. We want to qualify directly to Copa Libertadores and we have a difficult game on Wednesday, but we need to secure three points. I am very grateful to Inter, I have nothing to talk about," Peru's all-time leading goalscorer stated.

Guerrero insisted that any decision on his future would be made together with Internacional.

"My decision will always be the best choice for Inter and for me. My contract is valid for two more years and for now I have nothing to think about," the Peruvian forward concluded.

Brazilian and Argentine media take Guerrero's departure from Internacional of Porto Alegre for granted. They have even speculated the date of his arrival at Boca Juniors.

What is certain is that Boca will hold elections on December 8 to choose a new chairman, and the three candidates seeking to succeed Daniel Angelici are eagerly trying to get Peru's all-time top scorer Paolo Guerrero to the Buenos Aires-based club.

The Predator is the current season's top goalscorer at Inter with 18 goals in 38 games.
