Peru's Foreign Affairs Minister meets with U.S. representatives

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi on Tuesday met with U.S. Representatives Bill Pascrell, Jr., Jim Himes, and Vicente Gonzalez.

The aforementioned U.S. officials are members of the Peru's Friends group at the U.S. Congress.

During the meeting, Gervasi and the members of the United States House of Representatives discussed the current situation in the South American country.


Moreover, the Democratic congressmen expressed their support for Peruvian democracy.


On the other hand, the Peruvian minister gave an interview to Charles Lane, a Washington Post editorial writer and weekly columnist

During the conversation, they discussed the political, social, and economic situation in Peru, as well as the Government's proposal to bring general elections forward as a democratic way out of the crisis.
