Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Cesar Landa on Wednesday participated in a meeting of the Andean Community's (CAN) Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers, with the aim of strengthening the integration of member countries.

According to the official Twitter account of the government agency, Minister Landa met with his peers from Bolivia, Rogelio Mayta; Colombia, Alvaro Leyva; and Ecuador, Juan Carlos Holguin.

The Andean Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers is a legislative and decision-making body in charge of formulating and executing the foreign policy of member countries in matters of subregional interest.

For one year, it is chaired by the Foreign Affairs Minister of the country holding the Andean Presidential Council chairmanship —in this case Peru.

As is known, Minister Landa is currently in New York City. He is part of Peru's official delegation attending the 77th United Nations General Assembly.
