Foreign Affairs Minister Oscar Maurtua on Wednesday affirmed that the Peruvian Government ensures legal stability and security for companies, as reiterated by President Pedro Castillo at international forums and before investors abroad.

Similarly, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) shared a statement on the dialogue held with the National Society of Mining, Oil, and Energy (SNMPE).

It affirmed that Peru's Government seeks to promote a new approach on the active and positive relationship between mining companies and populations in areas of influence, after ruling out the unilateral closure of mining operations.

"Foreign Affairs Minister Oscar Maurtua: The Government guarantees legal stability and security for companies, reiterating President Pedro Castillo's message at international forums and before investors abroad," the government agency wrote on Twitter. The message was joined by the PCM-released statement.
