Peru's
Foreign Affairs Minister Miguel Angel Rodriguez Mackay called for dialogue and for building bridges to give peace of mind to the population, in the face of the current political crisis.
The high-ranking official affirmed that he believes in dialogue and, for this reason, he asked
Congress Chairwoman Lady Camones for an appointment in order to ensure coordination between the communicating vessels.
"Let us build those bridges. Let us take the steps that will allow us to be really prepared, so that Peru can be a country of tranquility," he remarked.
"The poorest, those in deep and ancient Peru, and more than 3.5 million Peruvians abroad deserve this," he told Exitosa radio and TV station.
"We cannot stop. Peru needs to recover the avant-garde space that it occupied in the 20th century, as prominent Raul Porras Barrenechea used to say," the minister added.
