14:28 | Lima, Jul. 7.

Six private clinics signed individual contracts with the Comprehensive Health Insurance (SIS) for the care of seriously-ill COVID-19 patients referred from public hospitals in search of ICU beds with mechanical ventilation.

The above-mentioned private establishments are San Pablo, San Gabriel, San Juan Bautista, Santa Marta, Cayetano Heredia, and Padre Luis Tezza.

In the case of San Pablo, San Gabriel, San Juan Bautista, and Santa Marta, the contracts were signed by their legal representative Sara Rosado.

As for Cayetano Heredia, the document features the signatures of Jose Espinoza and Hector Quezada, while Sister Esther Cusma inked the contract on Padre Luis Tezza's behalf.

At the end of the signing ceremony, on Monday, Esther Cusma —known by her congregation as Sister Maria Esther— highlighted the work that public and private sectors have undertaken in favor of those affected by COVID-19.

"We are Peruvians, and we have to help one another and work together. We should all collaborate for the health and life of the affected population. Besides, we are happy to lend our full support to those who need it. The country demands everyone's collaboration," she said.

This is the second group of clinics signing contracts with the Comprehensive Health Insurance (SIS).

As is known, the first eight health centers inked the contract on Saturday, July 8. Such group comprises Internacional, Ricardo Palma, Stella Maris, Angloamericana, Vesalio, San Judas Tadeo, La Merced, and Cerro Colorado clinics.
