Peruvian diplomat conveyed the greetings from President Dina Boluarte and thanked the United Nations System for its assistance to Peru.
In turn, the
UN representative reaffirmed the
institution's commitment to the South American country, assuring that it will continue to provide assistance.
Similarly, he sent a special greeting to President Boluarte.
At this event, the ambassador expressed "Peru's concern about the irregularities that occurred before, during, and after the past Venezuelan electoral process."
He underlined that the refusal to present the electoral records makes it impossible for Peru to recognize the official results. This stance has been maintained by the Peruvian Government since the beginning of the crisis, he recalled.
