The Central Reserve Bank has projected private investment in Peru will expand by 4.4% in 2019.

"The increase in private investment is supported by mining investments and the development of infrastructure projects," BCR Governor Julio Velarde expressed.

These projects include the Jorge Chavez International Airport expansion, Lima Metro Line 2, port terminals, and real estate projects, among others.
Therefore, mining investment will expand 16.3% this year, and investments in other sectors will grow 2.7%.

Remarks were made during the presentation of September 2019 Inflation Report.
