The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Wednesday morning held a meeting with leaders from Puno region.

The event took place at the Government Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

During his participation in said activity, the Head of State remarked that bureaucratic issues and cumbersome procedures used to complete some projects are the most uncomfortable, especially what happens in Juliaca.

In this regard, the Peruvian President announced that he will travel to said city in Puno region next Friday.

The country's top official explained that his visit is intended to ensure a water and sewage project, among other initiatives.

"We will provide a solution to this issue on Friday, during our visit to said city. Besides, the decision has been made, and we will go there to find a solution together with local authorities and ministries. We will help define the route for other projects, and then, we will go to Desaguadero," he added.

Afterwards, Mr. Castillo inspected Social Health Insurance System's (EsSalud) Trecca Tower in Lima's Jesus Maria district.

This new infrastructure, located near Edgardo Rebagliati Hospital, will include 100 outpatient clinics, 20 urgency triage areas, 17 surgical risk posts, 31 image reading posts, and 40 special procedure rooms.

During the inspection, technicians and officials in charge of the project explained that this tower will expand EsSalud's care capacity by 20%.
